Purple Rhino is a tolerance and equality club. It started out as a club advocating for a LGBT rights, but it has been expanded in order to include more groups of people in need of representation- females and minorities, mostly. It's a club that promotes equal rights for everyone despite their gender, sexual orientation, and/or race or ethnicity.

Alina
Chavez
My name is Alina Chavez, and I am a senior at The American School Foundation in Mexico City. I am a co-president of the Purple Rhino club, one which I am very passionate about. I joined Purple Rhino because it is very important to me that everyone is treated equally no matter their sexual identity, gender, race, or ethnicity. Raising awareness on issues compromising this equality is a priority of mine. In the future I wish to go to college in the United States, and there too, continue to strive for equality for all.

Oriana
Fraser
Hi my name is Oriana Fraser and I am the president of the purple rhino club. I'm currently a senior in high school. I consider my self an activist against inequality, racism and an advocate of LGBT rights. I became a member of this club last year, and since I was so interested in what the club did, I decided to run for the presidency and continue with their activism against any depravation of human rights. I plan to continue this acceptance ideology and society in the future.

Brockmann
Hey I am Majo Robles and I am the secretary of Purple Rhino. This year, I am a senior at ASF. I joined Purple Rhino to become a representative for those who feel excluded and as missfits in our society. I strongly believe that everyone, without exceptions, should be treated equally and with respect. Everyone deserves to be loved, to love whomever and to feel confident about the person that they choose to be. I am willing to help and support anyone who feels alone and I plan to continue these plactices in my future, involving art and studying in the United States and throughout my career as an artist.

From a liberal education, I believe strongly in LGBT rights. I believe in emphasizing the importance of not only of LGBT but also of domestic violence and gender equality. Many times when people hear that we are a club that promotes LGBT awareness, they believe that everyone inside the club is LGBT, however I think it is important to emphasize that believing in equal rights and advocating for them is distinct. My most prominent goal for the club is in fighting towards equality for all. I believe no individual should be rejected for whom they choose to be or love. Furthermore, both genders should be given equal opportunities and treated equally, gender objectification and degradation is an extreme problem in our society that should be addressed. It is their decision and should be respected. I hope purple rhino can help advocate and spread the word of LGBT rights and domestic violence.
Hello!
My name is Renata Brockmann and I am the social media coordinator of purple rhino. Like the other officers I strongly believe in equal rights for everyone. Raised in a rather conservative household I was made more open to this by the ASF community. We are in a vital moment in history in which right for LGBT are becoming a greater concern for everyone. I also believe that gender equality is a serious problem. I am hopinh to develop a career in film and television prodicton. I am certain that through these means I will be able to make an imact on the LGBT community. Purple Rhino is slowly gorwing and making a greater impact in the ASF community.
